After a couple of crazy combos it is time to get back to a classic. So this Sunday we have the avocado and banana smoothie. One thing I discovered drinking this one is that the avocado really enhances the banana. So you won’t feel the avocado very much, but rather a buttery banana taste

ingredients

Ingredients: 1 avocado chopped, 1 banana, 1 cup sweet yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey

avocado banana

Enjoy your Sunday,
L.

Does Vanilla flavoured Yogurt work in this recipe? also should the banana be frozen?

      Hi Jacki!
      Thank you for your comment!
Yes, vanilla yogurt should work great in this combo. If you want to try with frozen bananas it will be more like a melted ice cream/milk shake texture. With fresh bananas it’s more like a creamy fruit yogurt. You can try both ways, see which one you like best. I like them both :)

Wow! I just tried this and want to make another but I have no more avocados! I added an extra 1/2 banana since it was lying around and I cannot believe how delicious and healthy this is! Mine is a little more brown than yours but it is probably since my avocado was a little old.. but still delicious!

Hi Jacki! Glad you liked it.
That’s the fun and cool part about smoothies, you can add almost any fruits, even some vegetable you have around. I have many more recipes here http://www.macted.ro/category/smoothie/ and most of them are “banana-based”, give them a try and let me know which one you liked :)

Never ever fixed or eaten an avocado. Do I peel it before making this smoothie?

what exactly is sweet yogurt? Could you be more specific- like a brand or flavor or something please? :)

Hi Jen! It’s yogurt with added sugar. I use Muller Bianco. You can use regular or greek yogurt too, and just add an extra teaspoon of honey.
